SAFETY EVALUATION - STANDBY LIQUID CONTROL SYSTEM - ATWS 10 CFR 50.52 RULE, COOPER NUCLEAR STATION We have completed our review of the proposed 10 CFR 50.62 "ATWS Rule" modifica-tions to Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS).
The enclosed Safety Evaluation concludes that your proposed changes to the Standby Liquid Control System conform to the Rule.
Our evaluation of your proposed Alternate Rod Insertion (ARI) System and Recirculation Pump Trip modifications pursuant to 10 CFR 50.62, was forwarded by letters dated September 23, 1987 and October 20, 1987.
You should submit a Technical Specifications amendment application, as discussed in your letter dated April 8, 1987, as soon as possible.
