, Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Unit 2 August 1 through August 31,1997 Matrative Summerv of Ooeratina Exceriences Unit 2 began the month of August at a nominal 100% of rated thermal power (RTP).

On August 8,1997 at 2300 hours0.0266 days 0.639 hours 0.0038 weeks 8.7515e-4 months , power was reduced to 80% of RTP for a rod pattern adjustment. Power was restored to 100% RTP on August 9,1997 at 400 hours0.00463 days 0.111 hours 6.613757e-4 weeks 1.522e-4 months .

On August 29,1997 at 1400 hours0.0162 days 0.389 hours 0.00231 weeks 5.327e-4 months , power was reduced to 90% of RTP due to 2D Condensate Domin failure. Power was restored to 100% RTP on August 30,1997 at 600 hours0.00694 days 0.167 hours 9.920635e-4 weeks 2.283e-4 months .

' Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Unit 3 August 1 through August 31,1997 Narrative Summarv of Operatina Exoeriences Unit 3 began the month of August at a nominal 84% of rated thermal power (RTP) due to coastdown.

On August 4,1997 at 1200 hours0.0139 days 0.333 hours 0.00198 weeks 4.566e-4 months , power was reduced to 80% of RTP to place the 4"'

Feedwater Heaters back in service. On August 5,1997 power was further reduced to 62%

to investigate the #4 control valve problem. Power was restored to 83% on August 6,1997 at 1000 hours0.0116 days 0.278 hours 0.00165 weeks 3.805e-4 months .

On August 10,1997 at 500 hours0.00579 days 0.139 hours 8.267196e-4 weeks 1.9025e-4 months , power was reduced to 77% of RTP because 3C Reactor Feed Pump was removed from service for maintenance. Power was restored to 80% on August 11,1997 at 100 hours0.00116 days 0.0278 hours 1.653439e-4 weeks 3.805e-5 months .

On August 15,1997 at 1600 hours0.0185 days 0.444 hours 0.00265 weeks 6.088e-4 months , power was reduced to 76% of RTP because 3A Reactor Feed Pump was removed from service for maintenance. Power was restored to 78% on August 16,1997 at 2200 hours0.0255 days 0.611 hours 0.00364 weeks 8.371e-4 months .

On August 21,1997 at 1000 hours0.0116 days 0.278 hours 0.00165 weeks 3.805e-4 months , power was reduced to 74% of RTP because 3B Reactor Feed Pump was removed from service. Power was then restored to 76% on August 21, 1997 at 1400 hours0.0162 days 0.389 hours 0.00231 weeks 5.327e-4 months .

On August 29,1997 at 2200 hours0.0255 days 0.611 hours 0.00364 weeks 8.371e-4 months , power was reduced to 71 % of RTP for MSIV closure timing. Power was restored at 73% on August 30,1997 200 hours0.00231 days 0.0556 hours 3.306878e-4 weeks 7.61e-5 months .

Throughout the entire month of August the unit continued coastdown. Unit 3 ended the month operating at 73% of RTP.
