Please note that a portion of the material contains Australian and Canadian origin source material.

Dear Ms. Wright:

L Please find enclosed our check and application for a license to expon enriched UF6.

This material will be used for the fabrication of fuel assemblies and ultimately loaded into Genkai Unit No.1 - Region 24, Genkai Unit No. 2 - Region 20, Genkai Unit No.

3 - Region 9 owned,by Kyushu Electric Power Company in Japan.

The contract for the uranium enriching services with the U.S. Enrichment Corporation (USEC)is EC-SCOI-98UE08238.

Please note that the feed material is supplied by U.S.A., Australia and Uzbekistan.

The relevant enriched UF6 will be delivered from USEC's Por[smouth Enrichment Plant in Piketon, Ohio. After being exponed to Japan, it will be converted to UO2 powder, palletized and fabricated into fuel assemblies by Mitsubishi Nuclear Fuel Co., Ltd.

Mitsubishi International Corporation With regard to sampling, we request that Three (3) P-10 tube samples be taken from each parent cylinder. These samples should be delivered to MitsubishiInternational Corporation c/o Teledyne Brown Engineering Environmental services for independent analysis. We also request that JAI Corporation witness the weighing, sampling and loading operation.
