Dear Mr. Rooney:
Enclosed is a letter from Advanced Nuclear Fuels Corporation-(formerly Exxon Nuclear Company, Inc.) dated February 5,1987 requesting an amendment to export license -XSNM02161 to increase.the quantity of material authorized for-export to the Blayais l', 2, 3 and 4 Nuclear Powen Reactors in France.
Before we can act on this request, a letter of assurance is required that the material will be subject to all of the tenns and conditions of an' agreement for cooperation.
Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurance letter -
will be appreciated.
Please note that the material requested for export under this amendment is of Canadian origin.

Dear Mr. Peterson:
i Advanced Nuclear Fuels Corporation hereby requests that the reference license
- for export of nuclear fuel to Euratom nations be amended as follows:
i Blayais I, 2, 3 and 4 - France increase the amount authorized foi shipment by =:960 kgs U-235 contained in 25,800 kgs of total uranium to accommodate customer:
requirements for reload XN-ll. It is understood that this uranium will be of Canadian origin.
The total amount authorized for shipment to referenTe~d reactors becomes 5,570 kgs of U-235 contained in 155,150 kgs of total uranium.
These increments when included with those in my letter of November 13,1986 will bring the total authorized by the reference license to. 23,442 :kgs U-235 contained in 656,821 kgs of total uranium.
