Dear Mr. Brons:

SUBJECT:

FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant The enclosed Safety Evaluation Report (SER) docLeents our review efforts concerning conformance to R.G. 1.97 and supplements the preliminary Technical Evaluation Report (TER) prepared by our contractor, EG&G, and transmitted to you by letter dated November 5, 1985. The SER and accompanying final TER reflect your submittals up to and including November 11, 1987.

The existing neutron flux instrumentation, however, is acceptable for interim use pending satisfactory implementation of a fully qualified system.
