PENEWAL 0F UNIVERSITY OF LOWELL OPERATING LICENSE NO. R-125 The Nuclear Regulatory Comission has issued Amendment No. 9 to facility Operating License No R-125 for the University of Lowell nuclear facility in response to the application for renewal dated February 14, 1985, as supplemented. This amendment renews the operating license for thirty years from its date of issuance.

In accordarce with our practice, we have restated the license in its entirety, incorporating all the changes and amendments made since the issuance of the origiral license.

Enclosed with the anended license is a copy of the Finding of No Stanificant Environmental Impact that has been published in the FEDERAL REGISTER, a copy of the Notice of Renewal that is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publicatien, the Environmental Assessment, and the Safety Evaluation Report (NUREG-1139) associated with the renewal.
