Operating Staff Experience Requirements
Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter is being submitted persuant to License Condition 2.C (6) of Wolf Creek Generating Station Facility Operating License NPF-42.
KG&E proposes to release the Shift Consultants from further service on Decenber 20, 1985.
Each of the shift su'pervisors on normal rotating shifts has been on shift at Wolf Creek for at least six months since initial criticality.
Also each shift supervisor has participated in at least one plant startup and at least one plant shutdown at both Wolf Creek and at a same type plant. In addition, all shift supervisors have been on shift for at least 42 days at power levels above 20% at Wolf Creek or a similar facility. The term "on shift" applies to a normal rotating shift which may include limited assignment in the Administrative Branch of the Operations Department.
Several other licensed senior operators on the normal rotating shifts also have the experience required by License Condition 2.C (6).
Thus for periods of illness or for any other reason the normal shift supervisor does not have the watch, there will always be a licensed senior operator on shift who has the required operating experience.
