THE DETROIT EDISON COMPANY, Applicant in the above-captioned proceeding,-hereby files Amendment No. 59 to its Amended and
. Substituted Application for Licenses for the purpose of transmitting additional information requested by the Regulatory
. Staff.
Major modifications incorporated in this amendment include:
updating of data pertaining to primary containment penetrations and associated isolation valves; revision of Table 3.2-1-to reflect current classification (e.g.,
seismic qualification, QA classification, construction codes applicable) of principal components of safety related systems; revision of sections on standby liquid control system to reflect its QA classification (as provided in EF2-68267, dated June 22, 1984);
and to revise pertinent portions of the FSAR in accordance with the Fermi-2 response to Generic Letter 84-11 (as provided in
~EF2-69210, dated July 13, 1984).
Several figures were also revised.
The balance of the amendment consists of minor technical and administrative corrections and clarifications.
