The Perry Nuclear Power Plant has enlisted Betz Industrial to repeat a chemical cleaning of the main condenser in the circulating water system as necessary to control scale. Betz Deposi-trol 860D, Foamtrol, and sulfuric acid vill be used as the cooling water treatment additives.
They vill be applied for a maximum of 72 hours8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br /> per cleaning effort.
The original application for approval to use this methodology was approved per Directors Final Findings and Orders dated May 11, 1995.
This application is being made to increase the volume of the Betz Deposi-trol only. Foamtrol and acid volumes vill not be changed.
Attachment 1 contains the information required in accordance with the Ohio EPA procedures.
