Docket No. 50-219 Technical Specification Change Request No. 185, Supplement 1 24-Honth Cycle Surveillance Extensions This letter provides replacement Technical Specification pages to be inserted into Technical Specification Change Request (TSCR) No. 185, previously submitted on March 2, 1990. The attached Technical Specification pages which were included in TSCR No. 185 have been amended in the interim via Amendment No. 141 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-16. Accordingly, these pages should be substituted for the corresponding Technical Specification pages in TSCR No. 185.

Each revision is an editorial change to reinstate the *1/20" month designation for refueling outage surveillances not being extended, and to reviss the "24 month" designation back to a " refueling outage" designation, since TSCR No. 185 proposes to redefine refueling outage intervals from e maximum of 20 months to "at least once per 24 months." The technical justification for redefining refueling outage interval is contained in TSCR No. 185. Amendment 141 has previously approved the extension to a 24 month interval for the surveillances identified on the attached substitute pages. Therefore, this is an editorial change in nomenclature to be consistent with the original intent of TSCR No.

185.

In addition, it is requested that the proposed revision to Technical Specification page 6-16 be removed from TSCR No. 185 since the surveillance-extensions to 24 month intervals were fully approved in Amendment No. 141, referenced above.
