. Pursuant to the information contained in your letter of September 16, x: ' M fA l i

1980, I have reviewed the drawings for the head-end-ventilation building nodification for the West Valley (Docket No. 50-201) facility. They seem to be in order and in accord with the discussions I have h,d by telephone vith Mr. Peter Burn of IP!S.

The additional 12 inches of reinforced concrete should stop credible tornado generahed (very low probability event for the specific location and size of the liS/B) missiles which night impinge thereon. -

I concur with the modification as depicted in the UFS drawings. It is suggested that UFS be requested to place the modification on an annual check list to assure the shield has not shifted due to frost action. An inspection date in the spring is suggested.
