This will confirm previous telephone conversations between Uldis Potapovs ri our staf f and Mr. Harold Thornburg of your Monroeville, PA office concerni.3 the inspection of your inanuf acturing activities at Vesteras plant on August 6 and 7, 1990.
The scope of inspection will include a selective review of the implementation s
of your quality assurance program as described in your Topical Report s.
BQ 89-50 which hat been accept.ed by the RRC as meeting the requirements of t.ppendix B to 10 CFR 50. We are else interested in following up on the retults of your evaluation of cracking which was observed on eight ABB Atom control rod assembliies used in the Dresden Unit 3 reactor.
