South Texas Project Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 Schedule for Submittal of Responses to NRC Questions 32.42 and 32.45 Houston Lighting & Power Company (HL&P) informed you by letter dated December 31, 1981 that a schedule for responding to FSAR Question 32.42 (Loss of Non Class IE Instrument and Control Power System Bus During Operation) would be provided by September 1,1982. Bechtel Power Corporation (BPC) has tiow established a schedule for preparing the response to this question.
HL&P expects to provide a response to Question 32.42 as part of an amendment to the FSAR prior to September 30, 1983.
HL&P informed you by letter dated September 2,1981 that a response to FSAR Question 32.45 (Control System Failures) would be provided by July 1, 1982.
This schedule was established prior to the reassignment of architect-engineering responsibilities. BPC has assessed the werk required to complete this response and established a new schedule accordingly. HL&P 1
expects to provide a response to Question 32.45 as part of an amendment to the FSAR prior to September 30, 1983.
