Dear Mr. Tedesco:
This letter is in response to the request for information transmitted by your letter of August 17, 1981. Offshore Power Systems has reviewed NUREG-0609, " Asymmetric Blowdown Loads on PWR Primary Systems" and NUREG-0612, " Control of Heavy Loads at Nuclear Power Plants". On the basis of our review we agree to implement the Staff positions set forth in these documents during the final design of the Floating Nuclear Plant.
Reference to Sections 9.1.4 and 15.5.3 of the Plant Design Report will demonstrate that Offshore Power Systems has already given consideration to the general concerns addressed in both NUREG-0609 and NUREG-0612.
