Subject NRC Inspection This refers to the ruutine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. J. F. Pang and D. Skov of this office on July 22, 1981 of activities authorized by NRC License No. 46-6377 31 and to the discussion of our findings held by Messrs. Pang and Skov with Dr. H. Groninger and Dr. E. Gauglitz, Jr.
at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was an examination of the activit'es conducted under you" license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Comission's rules and regulations and the conditions of your license.
The inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel and observations by the inspectors.
During this inspection, it was found that certain of your activities appeared to be in noncompliance with NRC requirements. The items and references to the pertinent requirements are listed in Appendix A.
These items have been categcrized into severity levels as described in t5e Federal Register Notice (45 FR 66754) dated October 7,1980.
