Diablo Canyon Guard Training and Qualification Plan Implementation This is in response to your letter of July 16, 1981 whereby you indicate your intention to have members of the Diablo Canyon security force trained and qualified to the requirements of 10 CFR 73.55(b)(4) no later than.

January 1,1982. We agree with this proposed schedule. Therefo m,_if the operating license is issued prior to January 1 1982, the license condition incorporating the physical protection requirements will stipulate a training and qualification completion date of January 1,1982.

In tne event that the license is issued subsequent to January 1,1982, the c' ate for completion l~

of the training and qualification requirements will be tha date of license issuance.
