SUBJECT:
IREP PARTICIPATION Please assign a member of the Methodology and Data Branch to work on one of the IREP teams on quantification and reportage. The assignment should run for approximately 3 months from April 15 to July 15. A formal detail j
is not necessary unless you or the individual would prefer it.
I am making the request of you for several reasons.
First, the NRC has 2
fallen short of its connitment to contribute personnel to the IREP teams.
The DSRR people and one of the NRR people have been caught up in fire drills. The remaining NRR people may well be drawn into the licensing breach. Second, I am corcerned that the two teams in Bethesda are a little short on quantification skills.

quantification effort. Frank will be posting Fred Manning to work on the other team. At this point the two teams in Bethesda are doing good work and renaining lost ground on the schedule.
I would like to preserve this momentum. Third, I think it would be a valuable experience for the individual.
In the event that more than one of your people could be spared and would like the experience Frank and Jae would welcome more assistance. The duty station will be 1200 W. Air Rights Building, telephone nun'ber 656-3813.
