Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
South Texas Project Units 1&2 Docket Nos. SE150-498, SRI 50-499 Correction to NRC Trip Report We have reviewed the March 6,1981 Trip Report by Mr. Sells con-cerning the February 17-19, 1981 meeting between HL&P and NRC staff mem-bers. The report accurately represents the presentations made by HL&P with two exceptions. On page 2, paragraph 1, please note that all of the Sections on the Plant Staff report directly to the Assistant Plant Superin-tendent. These Sections are Operating, Training Technical, Radiation Pro-tection, Maintenance and Administrative. On page 2, paragraph 3, the state-ment "It is anticipated that the staffing of the QA organization will be complete by the end of 1981" is not correct. The organictional structure and the Operations Quality Assurance Plan are anticipated to be complete by the end of 1981. However, the staffing level will be comensurate with a staffing schedule that is still under development. Thus, the staffing for the Operations Quality Assurance program will not be complete by the end of 1981.
If you have questions, please advise.
Very truly yours, Y
/
