This refers to the QA Program inspection conducted by Mr. J. R. Costello of this office on September 29 - October 3,1980, of your facility at Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and to the discussions of our findings with Mr. W. J. L. Kennedy and
= embers of the Stone and Webster staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the QA Program inspection and our findings are discussed in the enclosad report. Within these areas, :he inspection consisted of an examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
During this inspection it was found that the i=plementation of your QA Program failed to meet certain NRC requirements.
The specific findings and references to the pertinent requirements are identified in the enclosures to this letter.
However, since corrective action and preventive measures were taken cencarning
- hese findings before the end of this inspection, no written response to these findings is necessary.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the Commission's " Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter with enclosure and your reply together with the enclosed inspection report will be I
placed in the Commission's Public Document Room.
