Immediate Report of Reportable Occurrence This letter is a followup to a report made by C. P. Yundt, General Manager to Mike Malmros, USNRC Resident Inspector at 3:30 p.m.,

on Wednesday, September 24, 1980, and by R. P. Barkhurst to the NRC Operations Center, via the automatic ringdown NRC notification circuit (red phone) concerning a situation where the high steam flow bistable trip setpoints were set incorrectly, but were within the limits allowed by the Technical Specifications.

This occurrence will be reported to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as a Licensee Event Report in accordance with our established Technical Specifications.
