During the Unit 2 1989-1990 refueling / maintenance outage, concurrent with full ,

power operation of Unit 1, a Unit 2 designated fire barrier LCO was initiated, at 0245 hours0.00284 days <br />0.0681 hours <br />4.050926e-4 weeks <br />9.32225e-5 months <br /> on October 30, 1989, for fire door No. 112 of the units' common

-Diesel Generator (DG) Building, and at 0830 hours0.00961 days <br />0.231 hours <br />0.00137 weeks <br />3.15815e-4 months <br /> on November 1, 1989, a Unit 1 designated fire barrier LCO was initiated for fire door No. 004 of the units' .

Fire door No. 112, which is a double door construction, is located at penetration seal No. DG-2-031 on the 23-foot elevation of the DG Building and provides equipment / personnel access between the room of DG No. 1 and the room  ;

of electrical switchgear E6. Routine surveillance had revealed both door pancis of the door would not remain closed. Further investigation showed the g problem affecting the door involved misalignment of the door latching -

assembly. On November 6, 1989, the specified seven-day time frame of the

Fire door No. 004 is located at penetration seal No. DG-1-078 on the 1-foot 6-inch elevation of the DGs' four-day' oil storage rooms and provides personnel access between rooms 1 and 2. Routine surveillance revealed the door would .

.not self-close due to differential pressure ccnditions. Further investigation showed the differential pressure problem resulted from inoperability of the exhaust fan motor of room 1. On November 8, 1989, the specified seven-day time frame of the involved LCO was exceeded. The fan motor was repaired and, at 1530 hours0.0177 days <br />0.425 hours <br />0.00253 weeks <br />5.82165e-4 months <br /> on November 17, 1989, the door was returned to sarvice.
