    • nen it is determined that a defect or nonec=pliance exists in =aterial or n' services supplied to a custc=er for use in a nuclear facility, the custo=er and the Co=ission shall be notified unless there is evidence that the custc=er has notified the Cc==ission within the required h8-hour period.
  • ' hen it is dete. ined that a defect or nonec=pliance exists in purchased n=aterial or services, the supplier and the Cc==ission shall be notified cc= currently.

procure =ent docu=ents shall require that a supplier vno chocses to evaluate a deviation, as permitted by the regulation, shall notify the Cc=pany as early in the evaluation process as possible when it appears likely that the deviation vill require reporting under this regulation.

Tne Cc=pany shall adopt a standard format pertcining to the posting require-cents in the regulations. See Attach =ent II.

COMPLIANCE REQUIRED BY: ALL h7GD ORGANIZATIONS This policy describes the extent of B&W infor=ation available for the purpose of Quality Assurance Progra= (QA) Audit by non-B&W personnel (external auditors).

POLICY 1.

NPGD policies, procedures and related =edia accessible for QA audits by O

external auditors are li=ited to those contained or referenced in and in-cluding the NPCD QA Manual.

2.

Contract records accessible for QA audits are restricted to those records required to demonstrate ce=pliance with quality-related actions.

Fcr pur-poses of this policy, quality-related actions are defined as those which are intended to comply with specific require =ents of the N?GD QA Progra=.

Such actions exclude all coc=ercial or administrative activities which cannot be reasonably interpreted to have an effect on the safe operation of a nuclear peser plant.

3.

Certain contract records and quality-related policies and procedures may con-tain portions or aspects of a non-quality-related ad=inistrative and co==ercial nature. These non-quality-related portions or aspects shall not be subject to QA audit by external auditors.

co =ercial infor=ation on docu=ents which =ay be audited by external auditors to confir= co=pliance with quality-related actions.

Access to NPGD infor=ation for QA audit purposes, as set forth above, is restricted to on-site inspections at B&W facilities by E&W customers or by l

authorized representatives of B&W customers and cognizant government agencies, I

except when specifically per=itted by approved NPGD procedures.
