1 Event Date:

May 28, 1980 Upon removal of the steam line boots, it was discovered th,at some insulation seams around the main steam piping were not propefely sealed, thus exposing the boots to excessive temperatures and causing the boots to deteriorate.

An inspection and repair will be performed on the insulction seals associated with all the damaged boots. An inspection was also performed on Unit No. 2 and all. boots showing deterioration were inspected and repaired.
