SUBJECT: RESPONSE TO NRC INSPECTION REPORT 150-00035/2018-001 AND

NOTICE OF VIOLATION

Dear Mr. Marakah:

On November 1, 2018, we received your letter dated October 30, 2018 (NRC Agencywide

Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession ML18310A094) responding

to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) Notice of Violation; EA-18-102, dated

October 4, 2018. The Notice of Violation cited Midwest Engineering and Testing Corporation

with a failure to file for reciprocity at least 3 days prior to engaging in licensed activities in areas

of exclusive federal jurisdiction. After reviewing the information provided in your response, we

have concluded that your corrective actions appear to adequately address the regulatory

noncompliance. Please note that we may, at a future date, perform an inspection of your

activities operating under a general license pursuant to 10 CFR 150.20, at which time we will

review the implementation of your corrective actions to determine that compliance has been

maintained.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be

made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from

the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the

NRCs website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. The NRC also includes significant

enforcement actions on its website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/doc-

collections/enforcement/actions.

Sincerely,

/RA/
