DPR-32 DPR-37 SURRY POWER STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGES Pursuant to 10CFR50.90, Virginia Power requests an amendment, in the form of changes to the Technical Specifications, to Operating License Nos.
DPR-32 and DPR-37 for Surry Unit Nos. 1 and 2.
The 'proposed Technical Specification changes are to revise the Limiting Condition for Operation (LCD) and* surveillance requirements for the reactor trip bypass breakers, undervoltage trip logic and shunt trip logic.
These proposed changes are in accordance with Items 10 and 13 of the NRC review of Item 4. 3 of Generic Letter 83-28, dated July 24, 1984.
The proposed Technical Specification changes are provided in Attachment
- 1.
A discussion of the proposed Technical Specification changes is provided in Attachment 2.
This request has been reviewed and approved by the Station Nuclear Safety and Operating Committee and the Safety Evaluation and Control staff. It has been determined that this request does not involve an unreviewed safety question as defined in 10CFRSQ.59 and it does not pose a significant hazards consideration as defined in 10CFR50.92.
We have reviewed this request in accordance with the criteria in 10CFR170.12.
A check in the amount of $150 is enclosed as an application fee.
