Re: Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-25 I Performance Enhancement Pro ram ln accordance with the NRC order dated August I 2, I 986, the following information is provided as the Performance Enhancement Program (PEP) quarterly update. The details of this information were provided to members of the NRC Staff at a meeting held onsite at Turkey Point Plant on July 30, l987. At this meeting the PEP Summary Schedules and PEP Outstanding Commitments Schedule were discussed.

The major topics of discussion at the meeting were as follows:

PEP Pro'ect 2 Task 4: Equipment Identification A presentation on the progress of this task was presented with the aid of slides showing examples of the identification system. h PEP Pro'ect 5 Task I: Technical Staff Training A presentation on the topics that plant engineers, planning and administrative personnel were receiving was provided by the Training Department.

PEP Pro'ect 6 Task 5: Managment Action Plan A presentation was made by representatives from a Quality Improvement Team (QIT). Their team was working on solving the problem of prioritizing work orders. This presentation demonstrated the technique utilized to resolve problem areas encountered by the user organization.

PEP Pro'ect 9 Task 6: Maintenance Management System A QIT on improving the Nuclear Instrumentation System reliability made a presentation on the team's finding. This team was composed of members of the Instrument and Control Staff.
