75 and 69 based on our Safety Evaluation Report (SER) regarding the completed portions of our review.
As indicated in our SER certain additional information is needed as indicated in Enclosure 1 to this letter.
In addition certain commitments wer e made as indicated in Enclosure 2 to this letter.
Please provide the information requested and confirm the completion of the commitments within 60 days from the receipt of this letter.

REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION GENERIC SHORT TERM RECOMMENDATIONS GS-4 The emergency procedures for transferring to alternate sources of AFW supply that the operators are to follow in the two cases required by this recommendation are not mentioned.
In addition, the use of the 500,000 gallon deaerated water storage tank is not spelled out.

The October 16, 1981 letter with our requirements included a dedicated individual to be stationed at the manual valves as the licensee's letter dated December 20, 1979 indicated that a proposed Technical Specification to enhance current surveillance'testing was scheduled
.for submittal by January 31, 1980, The NRC letter dated Nay 30, 1980 indicated that this response was acceptable,
- however, the proposed Technical Specification was not included in the December 23,'980, nor the March 10, or April 13,'981 amendment
- requests, ADDITIONAL LONG TERM RECOMMENDATION 3.

The details of the proposed piping modification being developed to provide redundancy in the discharge header'and common steaq supply header should be submitted for our information In our letter dated October 16, 1979 (enclosure 2) we requested AFWS flow design basis information.
The licensee letter dated December 20, 1979 indicated that a response to enclosure 2 was being developed by the NSSS vendor and would be submi'tted at a later date.
