Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) hereby submits additional information concerning "Control of Minimum Wall Thickness in ASME Class 1, 2, and 3 Piping Systems" at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant. The enclosed table provides the results of insitu examinations of piping in the Residual Heat Removal System and the Component Cooling Water System for minimum wall thicknesses. These examinations were requested by the Mechanical Engineering Branch at a meeting in Bethesda, Maryland on August 17, 1984. The purpose of this information is to resolve the remaining NRC concerns associated with Safety Evaluation Report Open Item No. 4.
