NOTICE OF DEVIATION Florida Power fI Light Company St. Lucie 1 and 2
Docket Nos.
50-335 and 50-389 License Nos.
DPR-67 and NPF-16 During 'an NRC inspection conducted on April 24 through Hay 28,
- 1994, deviations of written commitments in the Unit 1 Final. Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) were identified.
In accordance with the "General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions,"
10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C, the deviations are listed below:
Section 6.4. 1. 1 of the Unit 1
FSAR stated that a number of items would be maintained in each of the Unit 1 and Unit 2 control rooms to support control room habitability.
Am'ong these items were:

Potable water in excess of 100 gallons

A sanitation kit containing, in part:

1 pair of polyethylene gloves
~
35 cups and lids
~
1 instruction sheet
~
2 fiberboard boxes Contrary to the above, on inspections conducted Hay 9, 1994, the Unit 1
control room was found to contain only 55 gallons of water and both control rooms were without polyethylene gloves, cup lids, instruction sheets and fiberboard boxes., In an inspection conducted Hay 15,
- 1994, the Unit 1 control room was found to contain only 80 gallons of water and the previously noted sanitary kit deficiencies were not corrected.
Please provide to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, ATTN:
Document Control Desk, Washington, DC 20555, with a copy to the Regional Administrator, Region II, and a copy to the NRC Resident Inspector, in writing within 30 days of the date of this Notice, the reasons for the deviation, the corrective steps which have been taken and the results
- achieved, the corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further deviations, and the date when your corrective action will be completed.
Where good cause is shown, consideration will be given to extending the response time.
