APPLICATION TO DESIGNATE UNIT NUMBER FOR NUCLEAR FACILITY Simultaneously with the'filing of this application Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation has filed an application to construct and operate a second nuclear facility at its Nine Mile Point site in Scriba, New York. The subject matter of that application has been designated as Unit 2.

In order to avoid confusion between the two units Niagara Mohawk hereby requests that the Commission designate the nuclear facility presently operating under License DPR No. 17 as Unit l.
