Level 1 is the level responsible for the University of Florida Training Reactor (UFTR) facility's licenses, charter, and site administration. Level 2 is the level responsible for the reactor facility management at the University of Florida Training Reactor (UFTR).

Dr. Alireza Haghighat had filled the Level 1 position, Chairman of Nuclear and Radiological Engineering Department for many years and served as Level 2 Interim Director of UFTR since October 2008. Effective September 4, 2009 Dr. David Hintenlang will serve as Interim Chairman of Nuclear and Radiological Engineering Department. Dr. Haghighat will serve as Director of UFTR.
