Dear Mr. Hamilton:
By letter dated March 20, 2003, you provided a D3 analysis for a proposed digital upgrade of the Reactor Protective System and Engineered Safeguards Protective System (RPS/ESPS).
By letter dated May 12, 2006, we sent you our safety evaluation (SE) of your D3 analysis. We have decided to withdraw this SE, and, instead, address this matter in connection with our future SE on the license amendment request for the digital upgrade of the RPS/ESPS.
