SUMMARY

The River Bend Station annual random testing rate is 50 percent. During this reporting period, approximately 27.0 percent of the population has been randomly tested. The rate of positive tests from random testing is.041 percent.

POSITIVE RESULTS:

During a random screening, an Entergy employee tested positive for cocaine, and then returned as a pre-access screen to test positive again. One contract employee tested positive for cocaine during the pre-access screening process.

MANAGEMENT ACTIONS:

The Entergy employee who tested positive on a random test was sent home for 14 days without pay and denied access to the facility. He then returned after the 14 days to re-inprocess, signed a re-entry agreement and test positive again at a higher level. He was permanently denied access.

The contractor who tested positive for cocaine was denied for three years.

In both cases, management was notified and the employee files were annotated to reflect the positive results and the actions taken.

EVENTS REPORTED TO THE NRC:

During this reporting period, there were no violations of the fitness for duty program that were reportable.

PROGRAM EVALUATION:

No programmatic problems were identified during this reporting period.
