Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant Unit Nos. I & 2; Docket Nos. 50-3 17 & 50-3 18 Supplemental Response to Commission Order to Modify License for Interim Safeguards and Security Measures On March 15, 2002, Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Inc. (CCNPP) submitted its response to the Interim Safeguards and Security Compensatory Measures Order issued by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on February 25, 2002.
We indicated in our response that additional time was necessary to complete analyses with respect to certain Interim Compensatory Measures (ICMs)
[i.e., ICMs B.2.a(1), B.2.a(2), and B.4.g] before we could submit a schedule for achieving compliance with those requirements, in accordance with Section III.C. 1 of the Order. We have now completed those analyses with respect to the remainder of those ICMs and are providing the required compliance schedule.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.4, CCNPP hereby submits this supplemental response to the Order (Enclosure 1).
In this supplemental response we are also addressing ICMs B.l.b, B.2.e, and B.5.e. to this response contains safeguards information, as defined in 10 CFR 73.21. We, therefore, request that Enclosure 1 be withheld from public disclosure.
Pursuant to Section IV of the Order, on March 15, 2002, CCNPP requested an extension of time to file an answer and request for hearing with respect to ICMs B.2.a.(1), B.2.a.(2), and B.4.g. The NRC granted this request on May 24, 2002. Since the analyses are complete, we are prepared to file our answer at this time. Therefore, pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 2.202(a)(2), the Supplemental Answer to the Order is enclosed (Enclosure 2). to this letter contains "Safeguards Information." Upon separation of Enclosure 1, this cover letter is to be considered DECONTROLLED.
