Work Hour Controls Before and After a Hurricane Emergency Declaration
Reference:
EGM-09-008, "Enforcement Guidance Memorandum - Dispositioning Violations of NRC Requirements for Work Hour Controls Before and Immediately After a Hurricane Emergency Declaration," dated September 24,2009 PSEG Nuclear LLC has determined sequestering station personnel may be required before and after a hurricane emergency declaration (i.e., when the provisions of 10 CFR 26.207(d) do not apply).
Therefore, consistent with the conditions specified in the referenced Enforcement Guidance Memorandum, PSEG hereby commits to request an exemption from 10 CFR 26.205(c) and (d) before the onset of the next hurricane season, as established by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Hurricane Center (i.e., before December 1, 2011).
