DPR-42 and DPR-60 Submittal of Confidential Documents Requested During NRC License Renewal Environmental Audit During the period August 18-22, 2008, the NRC conducted a License Renewal Environmental audit at the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant site. During the audit it was requested that certain documents be submitted to facilitate the NRC staffs review and preparation of a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement. By letter dated September 26, 2008, Northern States Power - Minnesota (NSPM) submitted the requested non-archaeological documents that could be publicly disclosed. This letter submits the remaining non-archaeological documents. Enclosure 1 provides an index of the documents in this submittal, grouped according to the requesting NRC staff member, and numbered consistently with the September 26, 2008 letter. The documents are provided as Enclosure 2.
NSPM requests that the documents in Enclosure 2 be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390. As indicated in Enclosure 1, these documents either contain non-public trade secrets or commercial information, or geophysical and geological maps, that meet the criteria of 10 CFR 2.390(a)(4) or 10 CFR 2.390(a)(9),
respectively. Since the enclosed information is being submitted under penalty of perjury, NSPM also requests a waiver in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(b)(1)(ii) of the requirement for a separate affidavit to accompany the request for withholding.
