U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ATTN: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555-0001 Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant Docket No. 50-263 Renewed License No. DPR-22 30-Day Response to the March 12,2012 lnformation Request On March 12, 2012, the NRC issued "Request for lnformation Pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 50.54(f) Regarding Recommendations 2.1, 2.3, and 9.3, of the Near-Term Task Force Review of Insights from the Fukushima Dai-lchi AccidentJr
("lnformation Request") to all NRC power reactor licensees and holders of construction permits in active or deferred status (ADAMs Accession No. ML12056A046). The lnformation Request requires licensees to confirm receipt of the letter within 30 days.
The response must be written and signed under oath or affirmation.
In accordance with this requirement, Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation, d/b/a Xcel Energy (hereafter "NSPM"), hereby submits notice to the NRC on behalf of the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant that it has received the lnformation Request. NSPM is currently assessing its contents and evaluating its responses.
Future responses will be provided to the NRC consistent with the terms of the lnformation Request.
