Pursuant to 10 CFR 50, Appendix E, Vl.3.b, the FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) is hereby notifying the Nuclear Regulatory Commission of its intent to implement a change to the Emergency Response Data System virtual private network (VPN) that is currently scheduled to take place on December 4, 2019. The existing_ EROS information flow path is through a VPN device located at a centralized corporate location with communication protocols reflecting this path. FENOC intends to install a new VPN device, with associated communication protocols, at an on-site location at the Beaver Valley Power Station.
