Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:

Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy) intends to submit an application for license renewal for Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station (Vermont Yankee) in January 2006.

Reference I provided the schedule for submitting license renewal applications for Entergy's nuclear power plants. In References 2 and 3, Entergy updated the license renewal application submittal schedule, which included the schedule for Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station (Pilgrim) and an unnamed Entergy plant for submittal in January 2006.

Entergy plans to submit both Vermont Yankee and Pilgrim license renewal applications concurrently in January 2006.

Entergy's schedule for submitting license renewal applications, as identified in Reference 3, remains unchanged.

This letter contains no commitments.
