SUBJECT:

Arkansas Nuclear One - Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-313 and 50-368 License Nos. DPR-51 and NPF-6 Response to AN0 Emergency Plan Evaluation Report Gentlemen:

In response to your letter dated June 25, 1982, (0CNA068212) providing the NRC's Emergency Plan Evaluation Report, the following is provided.

Our initial review of your report indicates a significant amount of effort is necessary to address the extraordinary number of detailed findings.

Currently a substantial amount of our resources are devoted to supporting the week long visit by your Emergency Appraisal Team and are therefore unavailable to prepare responses to your report.

Given the above, AP&L does not believe it is possible to prepare responses within the 25 days allotted and hereby requests an extension of 60 days past the requested submittal.

Very truly yours, John R. Marshall Manager, Licensing JRM:DJ:pkn 8208190156 820816 PDR ADOCK 05000313 veueen vioote sours uriuries sysTeu F
