Steam Generator Steam Flow Instrumentation - Inoperable.

This report was initiated by Incident Report 81-425.

CONDITIONS PRIOR TO OCCURRENCE:

Mode 1 - Rx Power 98% - Unit Load 1030 MWe DESCRIPTION OF OCCURRENCE:

On October 26, 1981, while performing surveillance procedure 3.3.2.1, it was discovered that No. 13 Steam Generator Steam Flow Channel No. 1 was indicating high.

The channel was declared inoperable and Action Statement 3.3.2.1.b was entered at 2025 hours0.0234 days <br />0.563 hours <br />0.00335 weeks <br />7.705125e-4 months <br />.

This occurrence constituted operation in a degraded mode in accordance with Technical Specification 6.9.1.9.a.

DESIGNATION OF APPARENT CAUSE OF OCCURRENCE:

The reason for the high reading on the channel was that the transmitter was out of calibration.

CGRRECTIVE ACTION:

Steam Generator Steam Flow Channel No. 1 was placed in the l

tripped condition and the No. 1 transmitter was recalibrated.

The channel was tested satisfactorily and declared operable.
